Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) are a form of non-ionizing radiation (their frequency is somewhere between microwaves and radio waves). This radiation is invisible, but can be measured by hand held EMF detection meters. Common sources of EMF in the home include televisions, mobile phones, computers, remote controls, radios, WiFi routers, baby monitors, microwave ovens, smart lighting and smart meters, power lines and electrical wiring.
Electromagnetic fields are invisible forces that surround us. (Martin Blank, Ph.D). You can’t see, hear, touch, taste, or smell them—at least most people can’t. Think of EMF as a region of space where electric and magnetic forces interact, because they are always both there to a greater or lesser extent. EMF contains both electric and magnetic forces of energy.
Wavelength and Frequency
Frequency describes the number of complete waves that go by a fixed point per second, or oscillations per second. “Wavelength” describes the distance between one wave and the next. These two are intertwined and inseparable. The EMF spectrum chart shows the higher the frequency (number of oscillations per second,) the shorter the wavelength (distance between the waves to the right of the chart). The longer the wavelength, the lower the frequency.
This shows non-ionizing and ionizing radiation. Non-ionizing are the radio frequencies and microwaves and even electric and magnetic fields. The thing like medical X-rays and radioactive sources fall into the category of ionizing radiation.
Ionizing radiation causes chemical reactions that cause damage to our biological system.
On the other end of the spectrum are the non-ionizing waves which can cause harm by knocking an electron free from its orbit cause a buildup of free radicals. When there are too many of them they can cause chemical reactions, which lead to premature aging and a variety of serious diseases, including cancer.

What are the effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) on humans ?
People, because this is a controversial issue, will often site the weight of scientific studies to show that EMF’s have little or no affect on the human body.
It is important for the astute researcher to be aware that the vast majority of these studies are funded by the communications industry. They cherry pick the studies that skew the results the way they want and bury the studies that show harmful effects. Of course there are even some studies which are purposefully designed in such a way as to give them the results they want.
Be wise and look at INDEPENDENT studies (ie, ones not funded by the communications industry) the vast majority of those show that many of these EMF’s are harmful.
Remember that the communications industry has grown and is still growing vastly. Everywhere in the world now people have cell phones, even in the jungle tribes in Africa. This is huge business and lots of money to be lost.
What people are also not aware of is that the communications industry managed to get their own people onto some of the regulatory bodies that set the safety limits. They set those ‘safety limits’ far too high, having taken control of the industry regulations. The fox is now guarding the hen house, making the ‘safety limits’ basically as good as useless.
even if a device meets the supposed ‘safety limits’, it is often forgotten that people will be exposed to dangerous levels due to the combined EMF’s from other sources. This is never taken into account.
Sleep is vitally important to everyone and it is one of the more common symptoms from EMF exposures. A large number of people feel tired all the time and get poor quality sleep. This results because in sleep our brainwaves slow down, and in a state of deep sleep where we produce delta waves is needed to give us the refreshment from sleep we need.
In our modern world many microwave EMF’s are using digital (or pulsed) frequencies. Even though the actual frequency of the EMF itself may be quite high (in the microwave range), it is often pulsed (basically turned on and off) at a much lower frequency. These pulsed frequencies are sometimes within the range in which the human brain operates. This means that the brain may be unable to slow down properly into delta wave sleep.
The average person may think this is just nonsense and not important, but the government of UK in the 1980’s thought it important enough that they commissioned a report to look into a new communication system for use by the emergency services.
Government scientist Sir William Stuart, in the report, warned of the need to avoid any frequencies within the range that the human brain operates in. Unfortunately these warnings were ignored.
Specifically it is known how the EMF frequencies affect us. They do this in the production of OS(Oxidative stress) and NO(Nitric Acid) these intracellular “bad guys” leading to direct and indirect DNA damage, devastating our mitochondria’s ability to produce energy. This process ends up accelerating the overall aging process. In a nutshell, the EMF we are exposed to, increased our production of oxidation molecules, and the antioxidant stores are drained for our protection from diseases, and our DNA repair systems are disrupted.
When the homeostasis of our bodies is thrown off its delicate balance we risk losing our health. Homeostasis helps us to kill and neutralize infective and toxic agents as it produces antioxidants aiding in the elimination of these toxic and biotoxin exposures.
There is exposure to additional oxidative stress from EMF frequencies which depletes antioxidant activity and can lead to anxiety, depression, stress and fatigue. It has also been noted that there can be an increase in the risk of developing many other chronic diseases like neurological and cardiovascular.
EMFs do affect the human body but the extent of the effect varies from person to person. When most people feel no effect at all, it doesn’t mean that they are unaffected. ALL of us are affected by EMFS whether we realize it of not.
Everyone, whether they feel EMFs or not will experience the agglutination of red blood cells. When blood is exposed to EMF’s in experiments using microwave frequencies (as used in Wi-Fi, bluetooth, cell towers, etc) there is clumping together of the red blood cells. This means that the blood cells are not able to function properly affecting our health in a negative way. This can be slight symptoms from tiredness to more severe issues like heart attacks and strokes
When the body is exposed to low frequency radiation the homeostasis of the cell is negatively impacting the calcium voltage channels that are in the cell’s membrane.
Calcium is flooding into the intracellular space from EMF exposure leading to an overproduction of pro-oxidative molecules called supre oxide (SO) and nitrous oxide (NO). Normal physiologic doses of NO and SO are helpful in the cells, an overabundance of these pro-oxidant molecules interact with each other then producing devastating molecules called peroxynitrite and hydroxyl radicals.
Here are some EMF exposure symptoms to look out for:
A simple test to see if you could be reacting to too much EMF exposure is to go camping for a week and completely unplug. Notice how you feel. Pay attention to your energy levels. Be aware of how you sleep. If you feel remarkably better, and then really lousy when you return home, you just might want to look into reducing your EMF exposure.ucibus ornare suspendisse sed.
